Virtual Feeding Coaching For Parents Right From the Comfort of Your Living Room.
Virtual pediatric feeding coaching for bottle refusal, picky eating and everything in between designed to help you feel more confident at the table.
Disclaimer: Because virtual parent coaching is a consultative service (not direct therapy), it’s not eligible for insurance reimbursement, and superbills can’t be provided for this service.
You don’t need to go at it alone or wait until feeding gets worse. Whether you're overwhelmed by mealtimes, unsure how to help your child try new foods, or feeling brushed off by your pediatrician, this is the place to feel seen, heard, and supported.
What Is Parent Coaching?
Parent coaching gives you expert, personalized support without needing to leave home or commit to ongoing therapy.
You’ll get one-on-one virtual feeding support from a nationally certified speech-language pathologist and pediatric feeding specialist, with insight and strategies tailored to your child’s needs and your parenting style.
This service brings specialized feeding expertise into the place where it matters most—your family's everyday meals.
Why Early Support Can Make All the Difference
Parents are often told, “It’s just a phase,” “They’ll grow out of it,” or “They’re gaining weight, so it’s fine.”
But you don’t have to wait until feeding becomes overwhelming to ask for help.
Parent coaching can help you understand what may be contributing to your child’s feeding challenges, identify patterns that may be keeping your family stuck, and make thoughtful changes to the way you approach meals.
Sometimes a few targeted changes are enough. Other families benefit from more hands-on support as they put those strategies into practice. Either way, the goal is to give you clarity about what to do next.
Choose the Support That’s Right for You
You’re tired. You’re busy. You’ve read the blogs, tried the tips and you’re still stuck. You’re here because you know you need help and you don’t want to waste another week guessing.
Let’s get you real support and a clear plan. Now.

★★★★★
“Wonderful! Sarah came to my rescue when I was having a hard time introducing food to my baby who for months refused to really eat anything, in a couple months we got my 1 year old eating like a normal baby instead of spitting everything out . Amazing and very experienced and knowledgeable who helped me through a difficult time. Thank you again!”

“Sarah has been such a blessing for our family! She is so kind, patient, and knowledgeable. She truly cares and works so well with my son. I have learned so much from her and am so grateful for all that she has done! She was the most recommended feeding therapist when I was looking and I completely understand why! She truly is the best in the area and I can not say enough good things about her!”

Sarah is extremely knowledgable and experienced in her field and we trusted her completely throughout the process…I would recommend Sarah to anyone looking for pediatric feeding therapy!”

FAQs
-
Virtual parent coaching is designed for parents who want individualized guidance around their child’s feeding without committing to ongoing weekly therapy.
Families reach out for many different reasons, including picky eating, limited food variety, stressful mealtimes, food refusal, difficulty transitioning away from bottles or purées, mealtime anxiety, and uncertainty about how to respond to their child’s feeding challenges.
If you’re not sure whether parent coaching or an in-person feeding evaluation is the better place to start, reach out and I can help you determine the best fit.
-
In traditional feeding therapy, the clinician works directly with your child to address specific feeding skills or challenges.
Parent coaching focuses on you. We look at what’s happening during your child’s everyday meals, help you understand the factors that may be contributing to the problem, and develop strategies you can use at home.
For many feeding concerns, changing what happens during the meals your child experiences every day can be an important part of making progress.
Some children benefit from direct feeding therapy or an in-person evaluation instead, and I’ll let you know if I believe that would be more appropriate.
-
Feeding happens multiple times every day—not only during an appointment. Parent coaching gives you strategies you can use during those everyday meals.
For families participating in the 3-Week Mealtime Transformation, video review also allows me to observe your child eating in their natural environment. This gives me valuable information about your child’s responses, your current mealtime routines, and where we may be able to make meaningful changes.
-
We’ll spend 45 minutes talking through your child’s feeding history, your current concerns, what meals look like at home, and what you’ve already tried.
I’ll help you identify possible factors contributing to the feeding challenge and give you individualized recommendations and clear next steps.
You’ll also receive a written summary of the strategies and recommendations we discuss so you don’t have to remember everything from the call.
-
The Parent Feeding Consultation ($275) is best when you need an expert opinion, individualized recommendations, or help figuring out what to do next.
The 3-Week Mealtime Transformation ($1,200) is designed for families who want more hands-on support making changes at home.
Instead of leaving one consultation with a plan to implement on your own, we work together over three weeks. I review videos of your child’s actual mealtimes, help you implement an individualized plan, troubleshoot what isn’t working, and adjust our approach based on how your child responds.
-
Video submission is not required for a one-time Parent Feeding Consultation.
Mealtime video review is an important part of the 3-Week Mealtime Transformation. Seeing a typical meal allows me to observe details that can be difficult to describe during a call and provide more individualized feedback.
Your videos don’t need to be polished or staged—a normal, everyday meal is usually the most helpful.
-
Growth is important, but it’s only one part of the feeding picture.
If your child is eating an increasingly limited variety of foods, meals are consistently stressful, your child has difficulty progressing with feeding skills, or you’re regularly changing the way your family eats to accommodate feeding difficulties, it may be worth taking a closer look.
Parent coaching can help you understand what’s happening and determine whether changes are needed now or whether monitoring is appropriate.
-
Some feeding concerns are better evaluated in person.
If your child has coughing or choking during meals, concerns about swallowing safety, significant difficulty chewing, poor growth or nutrition concerns, or another issue that may require direct clinical assessment, I may recommend an in-person feeding evaluation or additional medical evaluation instead.
If you’re unsure, you don’t have to determine this yourself. Send me a brief description of what’s happening and I’ll help you decide where to start.
-
Parent coaching is a consultative service and is not billed to insurance.
Ocean Pediatric Feeding is a private-pay practice. Superbills may be available for eligible clinical feeding evaluation and therapy services, but not for virtual parent coaching.
-
HSA/FSA eligibility can depend on your individual plan and the service being provided. You can check with your plan administrator to determine whether your parent coaching service qualifies.
-
You don’t have to choose on your own.
Tell me a little about your child, what’s happening with feeding, and what you’re hoping to change. I’ll let you know whether I recommend starting with a one-time Parent Feeding Consultation, the 3-Week Mealtime Transformation, or an in-person feeding evaluation.
